How do you usually start your mornings, and what role does coffee or your favourite fuel play in setting the tone for your day?
I usually start the day with a strong coffee and a quick review of my schedule. It’s a moment to set intentions and mentally prepare for what’s ahead. I make sure to have a protein-rich breakfast and hydrate properly as this keeps me alert and focused through long clinic sessions. Even a few minutes of mindfulness or journaling helps me centre myself before I step into the busyness of the day.
Women often juggle so many roles — career, family, self-care. How do you personally manage your energy levels to keep up with the demands of your lifestyle?
Maintaining energy is about recognising my limits and working with them rather than against them. I plan my day to match my natural energy patterns such as high-focus tasks in the morning, administrative or lighter tasks in the afternoon. I make deliberate choices about where to invest my energy and leave space for rest when needed. It’s about sustainability, not trying to do everything at once.
When you hit those days where motivation feels low, what’s your go-to ritual, mindset shift, or daily practice that helps you power through?
On low-motivation days, I remind myself of the impact my work has on patients’ confidence and wellbeing, and that helps me reconnect and stay motivated. I also break tasks into smaller steps so progress feels achievable. Sometimes a short walk, a deep breath, or even listening to music is enough to reset my mindset and bring energy back to my day.
Outside of coffee, what other habits, foods, or wellness practices do you swear by to stay energized and grounded throughout the day?
I rely on habits that keep both body and mind in balance. I eat nourishing meals throughout the day, stay hydrated, and move regularly, even if it’s just a quick stretch between patients. My skincare routine is also part of that, and I focus on treatments and products that support skin health, because feeling good in your own skin contributes to overall energy and confidence.
If you could share one piece of advice with women about how to fuel not just their bodies but also their ambition and spirit, what would it be?
Invest in yourself deliberately. Work hard, but don’t underestimate the value of rest, reflection, and self-care. Your ambition should complement your wellbeing, not compete with it. Trust your instincts, focus on what truly matters to you, and don’t compare your journey to anyone else’s as success comes in many forms, and the most sustainable kind is the one that nourishes both your drive and your life.
