Morning Rituals:
I start my mornings early at around 5am because it’s the only way I can truly fit everything in. I move my body first thing not because I always want to, but because I know how much better my day flows when I do. That time clears my head and gives me space to think before the world wakes up. I found that if I tried to build that into my evenings, it was so rushed and pressured because I felt guilty. After that, it’s straight into feeding the animals, then my daughter is up - and for that hour, it’s all about her and being present in my role as a parent before the work me begins.
Balancing Energy & Demands:
Balancing energy and demands is something I’m constantly learning. It’s easy to say you can’t pour from an empty cup but putting that into motion is actually really difficult. I’m not naturally good at resting; in fact, I’ve hit burnout before and I know it’s something I need to actively work on. What I have learned however is learning to play to my strengths throughout the day. Some days are strategy-heavy, others are creative and I try to lean into whichever energy I have rather than forcing productivity for the sake of it.
Mindset & Motivation:
When motivation dips, I return to my “why.” I remind myself how far I’ve come and what I’m building for not just me, but for my daughter and the women watching past present and future. Gratitude has been a constant anchor as it shifts my focus from what’s missing to what’s meaningful. It’s so easy to get swept up in the growth mindset and the pressures associated with it, but it’s so important to check yourself and remember what you’re grateful for.
Fuel Beyond the Cup:
I have to get outside. Walking outdoors clears my head and makes my nervous system just relax.
Advice for Women Everywhere:
Fuel your ambition with joy, not comparison. My Dad used to say to me that I’m like a horse with blinkers on, and that’s been key to my success and enjoying the journey rather than focusing on an end goal. The moment you stop measuring your progress against someone else’s and start focusing on what genuinely fulfils you, everything totally changes. Success also feels so much lighter when it’s rooted in happiness and in doing work that excites you, challenges you, and gives you purpose - so choose that over the financial targets every time.
